I wanted to thank Dina and Cininfo for hosting and organising this workshop, it has been such a wonderful experience to engage with an Industry professional in polishing the craft. Please pass my message to Nikhil Mehrotra too, this past week I have been able to sharply focus on my script and channel my ideas in a singular direction. I wish there was much more time to converse with him about art and craft of writing, but even this was fantastic. Thank you so much for giving your time and lessons!
The online workshop on screenwriting with Nikhil sir conducted by Cininfo was very informative. In these 4 days, I get to learn essential techniques required for this craft. I enjoyed the whole session and logline session was one of my favourite as that made me realize the importance of it. Sir was very generous in addressing all questions even though we crossed the time limit. Lastly, want to thank Cininfo for organising this workshop and helping people sitting very far to learn screenwriting concepts. Thank you!
I wanted to share that Nikhil's workshop was an amazing experience! I really wish it were much longer in duration (at least twice as much) as he has a treasure trove of rich, hands-on experience or writing the best of scripts and also a vast knowledge of the inner-workings of movie-scripts that have been loved by the audience when they first released and have also survived the test of time... Thank you for organizing this Cininfo!
Attending the Nikhil’s workshop was a transformative experience for me. Nikhil brought a wealth of industry knowledge and practical insights that truly enhanced my understanding of story writing. I appreciated the hands-on approach, which allowed us to clear are doubts. I left the workshop with a clearer vision for my projects. Highly recommend it for anyone serious about breaking into screenwriting and storytelling. Thank you Cininfo for organizing this workshop. Looking forward for more workshops in future.
Attending The “Art of Scriptwriting” workshop with Nikhil Mehrotra was such a great experience! The session was packed with insights on emotions, character arcs, structure, and dialogue, all thanks to Dina, who kept things smooth and welcoming. Nikhil’s passion for storytelling really shone through, making it a comfortable space for us creatives to ask questions and dig deeper. His down-to-earth style made everything feel personal and inspiring. I walked away with new ideas for my writing and a fresh burst of creativity.
Sumit's workshop was highly insightful. He not only revealed structural gems in his own work like 'Scam' but also paved a clear path for new and upcoming screenwriters. Even the writing exercise he conducted with participants was stimulating. Thanks to Ciniinfo for taking such initiatives and hope they continue doing so
I recently had the pleasure of attending an intensive online workshop conducted by the talented screenwriter Sumit Purohit. The experience was truly enlightening, as it opened up new dimensions in the way we write and approach creating a series or a feature. Sumit's anecdotes about the writing process were both helpful and insightful, providing valuable perspectives that I hadn't considered before. One of the highlights of the workshop was the one-on-one personal session with Sumit. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with someone of such great skill and experience. Although the workshop comprised only two sessions, I found them immensely valuable and wished they could have lasted longer. Nevertheless, I left with a wealth of knowledge and cherished memories that will undoubtedly influence my writing journey moving forward.
I recently had the privilege of attending a screenwriting and pitching workshop with Sumit Purohit, and it was an incredibly enriching experience. Sumit's insights into writing for art versus commerce were particularly enlightening. His perspective that crafting a commercial film is often more challenging than creating something personal resonated deeply with me. Sumit's generosity in sharing his development process, including screen grabs of notes and pre-production documents like script outlines, provided a unique and practical look into the filmmaking journey. One of the highlights was adapting a short story into a screenplay and receiving personalized feedback from Sumit himself. His constructive critiques and guidance were invaluable, coming from someone who has created lasting work in the Indian film industry. Overall, the workshop was a fantastic blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, making it a must for anyone serious about screenwriting. I left feeling inspired and better equipped to tackle my own projects. Thank you to Cininfo and your team for facilitating this workshop. It was a great experience.
Attending Sumit's screenwriting workshop was an invaluable experience. His insights into the craft, combined with his engaging personal stories, made the learning process really enjoyable. The highlight for me was the assignment he gave us, followed by his detailed feedback. It's rare to find workshops where the instructor takes the time to provide such individualized attention. Sumit's approach inspired me to approach storytelling with a fresh perspective. Thank you, Cininfo, for giving me and many other inspiring screenwriters this opportunity!
The workshop was very good introducing me to some very important and fundamental concepts of cinematography. It gave me a wonderful starting point. I am looking forward to more such workshops by cininfo
Sayak Bhattacharya Sir’s cinematography workshop has been really informative. Especially for someone who is keen on learning about cinematography and a beginner, it felt very helpful. I’m really glad I took up the workshop and looking for the next part with Sayak Sir.
Sayak Bhattacharya is a good Teacher. He efforts 100% for us. His class time boundless.
1. I've been a big fan of the work Cininfo's been doing, trying to bridge the gap between industry professionals. Over the weekend, I had the chance to attend one of their events myself with Panchami Ghavri (Casting Director). A big shout out to Raghav and Dina for putting together a wonderful, crisp workshop, and creating a space that gave everyone a chance to share their thoughts and work. I look forward to seeing Cininfo grow and do more and more events to bring about some order in an industry that can be chaotic. i really enjoyed the workshop, i think two days is the perfect amount of time and it was crisp and clear
The workshop with Panchami Ghavri was a great experience. She shared very helpful advice about auditioning and navigating the industry. Getting 1:1 feedback on my performance, as well as seeing feedback about others' performances, from a leading casting director like her was invaluable. She striked the perfect blend of being honest and constructive, yet also very kind and encouraging. As actors, we are always looking for opportunities to get in front of and interact with the right people and this was a great chance to do so.
Sometimes it is extremely necessary to show your craft and take feedback from experts. And hence, I have attended Panchami Ghavri's online sessions, where I not only got to learn so many new things, but also had the opportunity to show my audition clip and receive feedback on it from her. Panchami, as we all know, is the Queen of Casting in Bollywood, with so much of experience. She made sure each actor would get individual response from her, and understand where we are lacking and how to make it better! There's so much I personally learnt from those days of her sessions, and now I would try to use them in upgrading my acting skills. It was an absolute wonderful experience organised by Cininfo Team, and I am glad I could connect with so many other talented artists from all around the world! I would definitely want to be a part of such sessions always!
4. This is was a very insightful and informative workshop we had with Panchami, the highlight was how easy going, respectful and responsive she was while answering everyone's questions. The feedback from the auditions was insightful and gave a view on how acting is now about less is more. And once connected to Panchamis team it would be a huge help to get your questions answered on how to approach agencies and navigate your way in the industry
5. I really enjoyed the session with Panchami. It was very interesting and educative. Honestly, it would not have been possible without Cininfo, so thanks a lot. Thank you so much for this
6. I attended a 2 day online workshop with Panchmi Ghavri regarding the much mysterious auditioning and casting process. It was one of the most superb and sincere learning experiences for me. Panchmi really did her best and put in all her energy to make sure all participants are equally catered to and patiently answered all the doubts. Her friendly non judgmental and extremely open and encouraging manner helped ease the nerves that are obviously present in a space full of aspiring actors and one casting director. She broke that barrier well to begin with. And from there on it was smooth sailing. There were people from all over the world there and soon there was a sense of community amongst all present there. The format was incredible. For someone who is working on the art of cracking auditions and spending their free time wondering what casting people want, it was superb to see 25 different actor's takes on the same audition with Panchmi then dissecting each one and explaining what works or what doesn't. Very helpful format in knowing how in and around the shot one is. And her analysis was detailed and patient. Even though the session went on to 3.5 hours instead of 2 she did justice to each and everyone. And while at it, she also kept pushing for all to not see it as separate works but to try and see a pattern in the auditions of what was commonly working in the ones it was. And the most gracious part was how equally warm and welcoming she was to participants who were just starting out (some even in their 50s) without overtly criticizing and being harsh but still driving home to them how what they were doing was off make with a side note of encouragement that if they keep at it they will improve. The co-ordination and communication by team Cininfo (Dina, Vishal and others) was very good. They were mid-point for it all and were very prompt in response and help and I believe there is some post workshop support too. To any aspiring artist who is finding his/her feet, I would strongly recommend Cininfo and courses by them. Wishing you guys good luck
Yes thanks a lot for this amazing session.. Really loved it 💐🌹❤️cheers and heartiest congratulations
